Titanic

Barrett has been obsessed with ships and the Titanic ever since he saw a National Geographic special a few weeks ago. He has been asking so many questions about ships and submarines, and the house is littered with drawings like these. When he turned 6 last month he wanted a Titanic themed birthday cake, which his clever dad obligingly made for him.
Its so precious to see these interests unfold.

Where does time go? Life seems to be a whirlwind of activity at the moment. I will certainly be back soon.

It is a detail from a piece called Topologies by Anne Wilson.
I loved everything about this exhibition, especially this piece.
I took so many photographs and still look at them again and again for inspiration.

My Lotte Reiniger DVD has arrived and I am so excited. I haven't seen these films since I was a little girl in the early eighties and I'm amazed at how clearly I remember some of them - they made such an impression on me.
